Secured bail remains the most effective, accountable, and cost-free-to-taxpayers pretrial release mechanism available to our courts. While bail reform advocates push for government-run pretrial programs funded by taxpayer dollars, NABA members are on the front lines every day — writing bonds, ensuring court appearance, and taking personal financial accountability for every defendant we bond out.

This year, NABA has taken our fight to Washington. We have testified before Congress, filed formal complaints against unlicensed operators, and stood shoulder to shoulder with our state affiliates from Montana to Georgia to California.

I am honored to serve as your president and humbled by the dedication of every NABA member. This association exists because of you. The 2026 Spring Conference in Atlanta was a tremendous success — we had a record number of attendees, our speakers and presentations were all on point, and we are deeply grateful to all of our surety sponsors, agency and agent sponsors, and vendors for helping make this one of the best bail conferences in history.
