NABA Condemns the Unlawful Misrepresentation of Fugitive Recovery Credentials and Reaffirms Support for the Safety of the President of the United States

The National Association of Bail Agents (NABA), the Voice of the Secured Bail Profession in America, unequivocally condemns any individual who falsely identifies themselves as a "Fugitive Recovery Agent," "Bail Enforcement Agent," or similar title while acting outside the authority of the law.

The lawful recovery of fugitives is a highly specialized profession governed by state laws, licensing requirements where applicable, court authority, contractual obligations, and established legal standards. Individuals who misrepresent themselves as fugitive recovery professionals not only jeopardize public safety but also undermine the integrity and reputation of legitimate bail professionals who perform this important public safety function responsibly every day.

NABA calls upon law enforcement agencies, prosecutors, and regulatory authorities to investigate and prosecute individuals who unlawfully impersonate, misrepresent, or falsely claim authority as fugitive recovery professionals whenever such conduct violates applicable law.

The actions of unqualified individuals should never be confused with the work of legitimate, professional bail agents and fugitive recovery agents who operate within the law and remain accountable for their actions.

NABA also reaffirms its unwavering support for the continued safety and security of the President of the United States, President Donald J. Trump.
